Girl Empowerment Days at Broadway's Biggest Hits!

All girls, ages 11-17, are invited to participate in our day-long programs, which  include a theater workshop featuring a panel of Broadway actresses, improv/theater games and role playing the most empowering female characters on Broadway! After the workshop and lunch, we head to the theater to see a Broadway matinee. .An inspiring day for all!

Girl Empowerment Arts Camp

Our week-long program for girls ages 8 - 12 opens young girls' hearts and minds to their unlimited power and possibility as leaders in the world. Blending creative lessons, storytelling, multicultural fables and current events with all forms of art making and theatrical activities, we explore themes of leadership, diversity, authenticity, self-awareness, empathy, humility, vision, passion and service. Girls better understand who they are, how to embrace diverse people and beliefs and how to use their gifts and passion to make positive change locally and around the world.

Educational Workshops

One World Girl offers a leadership workshop series for middle and high school girls to explore what it means to be a leader in this global, modern-day world.

  1. What unique gifts and skills do girls bring to the world?

  2. What issues stir them to action, and how can they make a difference?

  3. Why is there power in diversity and how can we embrace our shared humanity with compassion and courage?

  4. What do girls need from themselves and others, to continue growing, as they prepare to go into the world, at high school, college and beyond?

This workshop series is designed to educate our girls in an interactive, creative environment, with space to share stories, watch engaging videos, create art projects and explore important life issues with peers from diverse backgrounds.

They will all be empowered to recognize their leadership abilities, while looking beyond current perspectives and challenging experiences to deepen understanding, break down barriers and build community, as they claim their identity as a changemaker in the world.

Each workshop lasts 2 hours and takes place at local libraries, schools, religious organizations and community spaces. Participants must commit to attending all four sessions.

For a schedule of upcoming workshops or to arrange a customized workshop in your community, contact Lesley Mazzotta: lesleym@oneworldgirl.org or 917-623-4554.

Every girl deserves an opportunity to discover her unique self, grow in self-confidence, and embrace life on a deep, authentic level. As girls embrace their leadership abilities, they recognize their extraordinary value and personal power to address and heal the divisiveness in our world.

Global Learning Experiences

Our ten to fourteen-day overseas trips for teen girls and women offer distinctive experiences for participants to better understand issues that affect women and girls around the world. Each trip includes meetings with local women and girls, cultural activities and a service element, in which girls and women help with a community project that impacts the quality of life of residents. Throughout the trip, they begin to see the world as global citizens, breaking down barriers to facilitate conversation and learning that continue when they return home.
